Water Quality Tips For Unused Water ServicesFor homes or businesses that have been unoccupied for a length of time where water has not been used, it is good practice to flush your water lines before use to remove any stagnant water. It is also a good idea to drain your hot water heater tank using the spigot at the bottom of the tank to remove any sediment that may have accumulated during the period of nonuse.
Water Shutoffs Suspended During EmergencyApril 3, 2020. To help our customers during these uncertain times, the San Juan Board of Directors approved suspending service shutoffs starting on March 25. On April 2, Governor Newsom issued an Executive Order directing all water agencies to do the same during the COVID-19 emergency. If you are able to pay your bill you are still required to do so, and after the emergency, past due accounts will still need to be paid in full.
