Urban Water Management Plans and Water Shortage Contingency Plans

Urban Water Management Plans (UWMP) are prepared by California's urban water suppliers to support their long-term resource planning and ensure adequate water supplies are available to meet existing and future water demands. Every urban water supplier that either provides over 3,000 acre-feet of water annually or serves more than 3,000 or more connections is required to assess the reliability of its water sources over a 20-year planning horizon considering normal, dry, and multiple dry years. Below are links to available documents.  Hard copies of San Juan’s administrative draft 2020 Wholesale and Retail Water Shortage Contingency Plans are available at the District office at 9935 Auburn Folsom Road during normal business hours for review.  Hard copies of San Juan’s administrative draft 2020 Wholesale and Retail Urban Water Management Plan updates will be available for review at the same location no later than June 9, 2021.  Contact Greg Zlotnick @ gzlotnick@sjwd.org or 916-791-6933 for further information.
