In 2009, the California State Legislature adopted a package of water laws. One of those laws requires us to reduce our per capita water use by 10% by 2015 and 20% by 2020. This affects all customers in our retail and wholesale service areas.

We are on track to meet targeted statewide reduction mandates based on our current retail water use. We are committed to meeting these mandates while protecting your water rights.

We have expanded our water efficiency programs as part of meeting mandated water use reduction goals. In doing so, we are developing a comprehensive 20x2020 educational effort to promote water efficiency, help meet statewide reduction goals and preserve our most precious resource.
