Rebate Opportunities Available

Rebates Help You Save Money (And Water)!
Several rebates are available to San Juan Water District customers thanks to grant funding from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and regional partnerships. Rebates are limited and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. To qualify, customers must agree to a free indoor water audit or a free landscape irrigation review by certified SJWD staff before any improvements are made.

Here’s how you can become more water efficient and save money:

  • Irrigation improvement reimbursement: Customers can take advantage of savings by upgrading their existing home irrigation systems. Reimbursements include up to 50 percent off total material costs (up to $500 for residential and $1500 for commercial) for customers who meet the established criteria. Labor costs are not reimbursable.

    Improvements that might qualify include:

  • Toilet Rebate Offer: As a San Juan Water District customer, you are eligible for a rebate when you replace a two gallon per flush (GPF) or greater toilet with a more efficient model. Now, thanks to partnerships with the Regional Water Authority, the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District, and the South Placer Wastewater Authority, you may be eligible for additional savings! To qualify, replace a high gallon per flush (GPF) toilet (two or more GPF) installed before 1994 with:

    • An ultra-low-flush (ULF) residential toilet (1.6 GPF or less) and you may be eligible for an additional $75 savings, for a total savings up to $125.
    • A high-efficiency (HET) residential toilet (1.28 GPF or less) and you may be eligible for an additional $100 in savings , for a total savings up to $175.
    • An ultra-low-flush or high-efficiency commercial toilet and you may be eligible for an additional $125 in savings , for a total savings up to $200

To receive the rebate, customers must complete a short application, provide proof of purchase, and have the new toilet inspected by our staff. Customers are limited to three rebates per household and four rebates per business. For an application or to set up an inspection, contact us.

Let us show you how to:
